Green Bay Packers Season Tickets Waiting List Update

Green Bay Season Ticket Waiting List There are a few very happy Green Bay Packers fans out there. And I do mean a few. The Packers just announced that 126 new Green Bay Packers season tickets were sold to members of the season ticket waiting list, compared to 192 last year. Some of these former members of the Packers season ticket waiting list reported that it took forty years to go through the waiting list to receive the right to buy Packers season tickets. The team also reported that renewal rates for Packers season tickets this year was 99.6%.

There are currently 83,881 names on the Green Bay Packers Season Ticket Waiting List, an increase of nearly 3,000 names since last year. The Packers ticket office is estimating that fans placing their names on the waiting list this year can expect to be called, beamed, lasered, or telepathicly informed in 2050 for the right to buy Packers season tickets.

Adding seats to 72,928-seat Lambeau Field is included in a number of enhancements currently under consideration by the Packers. The planning for future expansion consisting of an additional 8,000 seats and enclosing the south end of the stadium is well under way and construction should begin next year. This will take a few names off the Packers season ticket waiting list, but will still leave 80,000 names on the list by this time next year.

I have been on the Packers season ticket waiting list for about 15 years and my current position is 13403. Over the past 8 years, my position (and I assume everyone ahead of and behind me) has moved up on an average of 160 spots per year. At this rate, if my math is right, I wouldn't be getting my season tickets for another 80 years. People getting on the list now will be waiting for more than 500 years at this rate.

The math is right Tom but I doubt anyone with season tickets now will live 500 years. So as the average age of season ticket holders increases the renewal rate will drop and more people on the list will get a chance to buy.

It's the price you pay for having a GREAT team and tradition. GO PACK GO!

I'm sitting just above 7,000 so I'm really hoping for this stadium expansion. I don't know how many of the 8,000 new seats will go for season ticket holders but it only gets me closer.

I'm at about 77,500 after 2 years. Regarding
turnover - the season ticket rules state that
tickets can only go to family members or turned
in, they can't be given or sold to others. So
even when people die, their tickets usually stay
in the family. That's why turnover is so low. If you show up at a game, you'll
see a larger-than-expected crowd of youngish
people. Clearly, these people are going on their
grandparents' tickets and it will remain this way (a fine tradition, even if I never get my tickets). An interesting story... when the Pack
played Denver in the 1998 Superbowl, there was
an article in the Denver paper, quite complementary to Packer fans, and it stated something like: "There are 75,000 people on the Packer waiting list. Last year 3 people died."
Expected wait time at that rate: 25,000 years. Let's hope it's not that long. At least I'll be retired by then and can enjoy the games.

After 1 year I am currently 914 on the club seat season ticket list. Last year I got my post card and I was 1468. So if you are looking to actually get season tickets in your life time go for the club tickets! I am hoping to get mine in 5 - 10 years. Also I signed my kids up last year (1 and 3) and they are currently like 82,000 on the regular list.

How do you check where you are on the waiting list. I went on it about 10 years ago and totally forget how to check.
Thanks.

Would someone please e-mail a picture or scan of both sides of the postcard? This is for a research project. I've only seen pictures of the back of the postcard (with the address). Oh and yes, please censor your name and address to protect your privacy. Thank you.

Hi...I just got my Club Seat Ticket Waiting List letter in the mail today. I'm #2015... Apparently the turnover rate for these is about 500 per season...I'm thinking 5-10 years... FYI

I read a rumor that with the NFL possibly going to 18 game sched, the Pack may offer that extra game to waiting list members. They already have Green and Gold packages, back from the Milwaukee County Stadium days, this would be a third package..You'd have to decide if 1-game/year is worth getting off the list. I'm #21,000 or so, and as prev blogger said, math indicates I'll need to live to be 150.

I put my son on the list when he was born and we haven't gotten a postcard in the past 23 years. We're just now wondering where he is on the list and selling Mom and Dad's house which is the address we listed. So we didn't even think about it until now. What should I do?

I forgot what my number on my last postcard said. One of my Daughters is a Packer fan so at least she'll get my number or ticket when I croak

Just received notice today that my daughter was added to the list. Number 88,023.

I sent in my request for placement on the regular tickets list sometime in February, shortly after the Super Bowl. I just received my letter today, June 27th, and am # 87,730. At 150 people per year, I'll need to be alive another 580+ years. I love the Pack but that is absurd.

This is great!! GO PACK GO!! Just being on the list is great!! I'm going to add my name to the list just to be a part of history! The best team in professional football!!! Winners of Super Bowls 1,2,31 and 45!! Oh, yea!!

Just the length of names on this list and the waiting time is proof that the Green Bay Packers are the "REAL" America's Team and NOT the Dallas Cowboys. That team doesn't even have a waiting list and yet everyone thinks they're the most popular team in football. Using a catchphrase of John Pinette, I say "Ney Ney"!

Most flawed system around. Lottery every year!

Last year I was 35th on the waiting list name is John Neuchter. Other People further up the list are getting tickets. Been on the list since 1979 something is not right.

I retired in 1973 after serving 20 years, in the Marine Corps, I ordered 4 tickets that same year, I am 50?? on the list, looking good

Here's a question to ponder. The Packers may have sold only 126 new tickets but how many people declined them or was unable to be contacted? I would guess that number is quite substantial. So although only 126 people got tickets, possibly 1,000+ were removed? At least I hope that's what's happening. I was at about 55,000 10 years ago. No idea where I'm at now. More seats would definitely help.

Quick update...when I signed up for club seats last year I was #2015. I just received my postcard &, one year later, I am #1408. So, I've moved up 607 spots in one year. At this rate, I'll be eligible to buy club seats in just 3 short years!!!

What does "single stadium bowl seats" waiting list refer to? That is what it says on my postcard.

My post card says I am #324. I have been on the list for about 10 years.

Does anyone have their waiting list numbers from 10 years apart? Would just like to see how far they have dropped since i only have mine from this year (#35,021)

i was signed up by my father the day after i was born im 18 now and i only had to wait 60 years right now im 6th on the waiting list. and im only 18!!

I got on the the general stadium bowl list for 4 tickets in 1985, my postcard says 7499 and I moved up 96 spots this year. My thought is 96 X 4 seats = 384 tickets that got turned in for the 2010 year. I think I started on the list at about 12,500 in 1985.

How often do they update you on your # in line?

how do i check where i currently stand on the waiting list?
